This is My first post in 2017, has been five years since I started writing a blog for the first time.now i’ll write about Klepon recipes. What is Klepon? Klepon is an Indonesian traditional rice cake, stuffed with liquid palm sugar or brown sugar. Today I’ll share about how to make klepon with my recipe.

Klepon

Ingredients

  • 250 gr glutinous rice flour
  • 50 gr of white rice flour
  • 10-15 pandan leaves or 50 ml water of pandan leaves (you can use pandan paste )
  • 130 gr palm sugar or brown sugar
  • 250 gr grated coconut (steamed for 20 minutes)
  • 150 ml coconut milk or water

 

1.  Grind pandan leaves finely mix with water and then filtered. If you use pandan paste, stir pandan paste with water until you get the color.

2. Mix glutinous rice flour, white rice flour, pandan water. Mix well with hand, poured coconut milk piecemeal until it formed a soft green dough. Make sure that the dough is not to hard and not too mushy.

3. Boiled water. Take a little dough, flatten the palms and fill with brown sugar that has been mashed. Form dough into small balls.

4. Boiled small balls , wait until the dough floats in boiling water. Lift Small ball from boiling water, rolled the balls on grated coconut then serve.
